Sinopsis: Elena (Nina Dobrev) le exige a Stefan (Paul Wesley) que le explique los terribles eventos que han estado sucediendo en Mystic Falls. En flashbacks, Stefan le explica como comenzó su rivalidad con Damon (Ian Somerhalder). De vuelta al presente, Damon toma impulsivamente control en el futuro de Vicki (Kayla Ewell), y ella confusa y asustada, huye. Finalmente, el Sheriff Forbes y el Alcalde Lockwood toman medidas para proteger su pueblo.
