Sinopsis: En su cumpleaños, Stefan es sorprendido por la visita de Lexi (Arielle Kebble), una de sus antiguos amigos. Aún disgustada por los eventos ocurridos en la Casa Encantada en Halloween, Elena (Nina Dobrev) intenta hacer todo lo que puede para manterse alejada de Stefan pero Lexi le da un no solicitado consejo sobre la relación. Elena y Jenna (Sara Canning) son sorprendidas por un cambio en el comportamiento de Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). Por insistencia de Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Caroline (Candice Accola) intenta recuperar el medallon de vuelta que tiene Bonnie (Katerina Graham). Finalmente, Damon se ofrece a ayudar a la Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) y esto lleva a unos trágicos resultados.
